Creating a meaningful benefit song as a class or school community is one of the most powerful forms of Social-Emotional Learning. It invites children to reflect on empathy, courage, and belonging—then express those values through music and storytelling. Whether it’s written to honour a cause, support a loved one, or amplify a local initiative, the process of crafting and performing a song together becomes a legacy of heart and hope.
Take Hannah’s Heroes, for example—a benefit song written and performed by youth to support paediatric brain cancer research. From the first lyric to the final music video, it was a journey of compassion, creativity, and community spirit.
But that’s just the beginning. I also help classrooms and schools create a wide range of music videos that celebrate childhood in all its forms. From silly song parodies with middle schoolers to capturing early learning movement songs, my goal is always the same: to spotlight real children, real learning, and real joy.

BENEFIT SONG & MUSIC VIDEO FOR CHILDREN’S CHARITY
This project is a powerful example of how music and storytelling can unite a community. We wrote and produced an original benefit song, mentored youth vocalists, and directed a heartfelt music video in support of pediatric brain cancer research. From concept to completion, this piece showcases our ability to guide meaningful, SEL-based media projects that leave a lasting impact.
FUN SONG CLASSROOM SONG PARODY
Students from the Creative Writing For Children’s Society (CWC) worked on every aspect of adapting this original song and music video from Dumbest Ways To Die, with the guidance of their writing mentor, Lorrie Holmes, and her assistant, Ava Janzen.
